And So it Begins
Now that Chris is back from the Earthship Academy, we're off looking for land. We've spent a few months looking for a lawyer who can help us figure out the rules and regulations of the areas we might pick and finally found our guy: Adam Stone. Not only is he a lawyer, he's also a realtor and I think that the combo is just heavenly for our project.
Adam sent us to look at a property in Lakeside. I wasn't that into it. I don't know if it was more the drive straight up a mountain then straight down the other side, the road noise, or the bushwhacking we had to do to even glimpse the land but for $100K, I had been hoping for something a little more... convenient.
I don't think you can really see from the picture, but the land drops off suddenly just beyond a small point of green and that's just after the parcel starts.
Adam let me know that $100K was not going to get us convenience. *sigh*
Saturday we went off to drive around Jamul and look at real estate signs. We found this land that was pretty great. It was already cleared and has a well.
And it is $235K. So... we won't be getting that land. We took a look at some other properties but nothing that really jumped out at us yet.
We are going back today to look some more.
